The best interests of the child.
In
any family law dispute relating to your children the Family Court's primary consideration is going to be deciding what
is in the best interests of the children. At first reading such a statement would appear to be obvious. Most people would
agree, it is rare for parents not want the best for their children. However, opinions and views over the practical outcomes
of such a consideration can often vary considerably between separated parents, and sometimes opinions of what is in the best
interests of a child can become completely polarised, very emotional and sometimes even openly hostile.
